The Equipment & Engine Training Council (EETC) Principles of Small Engine Technology Certification verifies competency in industry-standard equipment and tools needed to begin entry-level careers in the outdoor power equipment industry. The certification validates students have acquired the basic knowledge and skills necessary to troubleshoot, repair, service and maintain 2-stroke small engines. Students who earn the certification are more qualified and prepared to enter high-demand roles within the industry. Additionally, the certification allows employers to identify and connect with more skilled candidates, filling gaps in the labor market and jump-starting students’ careers. After completing Small Engine Repair: Two-Stroke Technician Certification Online Course, students will be equipped with a basic understanding of the following: 1. Fundamentals 2. Servicing engine systems 3. Failure analysis 4. Troubleshooting The online course attempts to break the four main areas into smaller sections and provide a review of concepts that will assist the technician. Sample test questions and answers are also provided for each section. Sample questions are provided to familiarize you with the testing format used. Students will be assigned 5 homework assignments, and 1 practice exam. This course is Instructor-led and delivered through our award-winning online Learning Management System.
